The famous DECH kit which is arguably the best looking skirt kit for a foxbody mustang. Something about Dereks initials in the rear bumper is just so pleasing to the eye. Made out of high quality fiberglass, these kits were light and rigid. Dech also provided several spoiler options for the Hatchback Foxbodies and later an all aluminum wing for the SN-95’s. The kits were in fact wind tunnel tested and proved to make the cars handle better on the track. The kits consisted of front, rear and side skirts which were attached with screws in the inner fender wells and from the underside of the rocker panels and urethane adhesive just below the factory moldings.
It has become quite unfortunate that hundreds and hundreds of these kits have been re-produced and sold by bootleggers in both the US and Canada. Due to the poor quality of these kits, over the years some people have chosen to mold their kits directly to their moldings as the kits required so much prep work and reinforcement in order to fit properly.
